The 1st African American Woman to open 6 Technical Colleges in Alabama

    MONTGOMERY, AL, February 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sister Helping Sisters: In the Spirit of Black History Month

In celebrating Black History Month, business owner and entrepreneur Shakea Miller is making history of her own. Shakea is the first African American woman to bring six other African American women into the brand 1 on 1 Technical College.

"I am thrilled to help my African American sisters get into this life changing business. These colleges can open so many doors for them," stated Shakea. "I feel this is an excellent way to usher out Black History Month in true spirit."

Not only has Shakea helped over 1000 African American females gain a certification at 1 on 1 Technical College, Shakea opened five new 1 on 1 Technical College locations in Alabama, making even more Black History of her own. The locations include Huntsville, Birmingham, Valley, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa, Opelika and Troy. She opened these locations up with 8 other African American woman in the state of Alabama. She is bringing along other African American woman to create Black History. Shakea is a long-time Alabama resident who has a number of entrepreneurial successes under her belt including Empire Tax Solutions, 1 on 1 Wellness Clinic, 1 on 1 Staffing Agency, and family-owned convenience store, The Ultimate Pit Stop & Meat Market. Along with being a successful Black woman herself, she has a heart to help other woman but especially her fellow Black women pushing forward to make their dreams and ambitions come true.

"I look forward to lending a hand to help many more fellow African Americans get into college, not just during Black History Month but every day of the year," Shakea said. "After all, that's what it's all about."
