ASUNCIÓN, PARAGUAY, March 18, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Last year, Frutana was acquired by Agri Terra Group and restructured under a new umbrella.
The company, which was rebranded as Frutana Fresh, announced that it will soon introduce a franchise system. In Paraguay, franchise systems have enjoyed great success in recent years, and a well-established brand like Frutana brings high market recognition to the table, as well as vast experience, specific know-how and a large industry networked, especially among important suppliers.
Freshly squeezed fruit juice is very popular in South America, and other brands in the segment have already been very successful with licensing and partnership agreements.
"We sat down with industry experts and analyzed the idea at length and in detail," said Agri Terra Managing Director Carsten Pfau. "Frutana is a household name in Paraguay, the company has made a name for itself in particular as a supplier to major brands such as McDonald's, Pizza Hut or the Shell gas station network," Pfau continued. "Today, you can already buy Frutana products in the store at many gas stations, plus many well-known country clubs," explains the German businessman. "It was a rather obvious choice to systematically expand the market presence, and that's where a license or franchise system comes in handy."
With the new concept, sales and profit expectations of the medium-sized company suddenly increase many times over. Stay tuned for more news about Frutana.
About Agri Terra
The Agri Terra owners, German brothers Carsten and Michael Pfau, invest and conduct business in Paraguay since 1995. Successful real estate investors, the brothers shifted their focus towards agriculture over the years. Starting out with the purchase of farmland and small cattle investments, the brothers now manage under the Agri Terra umbrella large agro-projects all over Paraguay. The company is among the largest 1% of cattle owners (out of 142,000 total), and it operates the country's third largest orange plantation.
