Shincheonji Church of Jesus on Matthew 24: "War and Peace in the End Times"

    GWACHEON, KOREA, April 14, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A special seminar was held by the Shincheonji Church of Jesus as requests for an interpretation of the Gospel of Matthew 24, which discusses war in the end times, flooded in as concerns about nuclear war due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine increased.

Chairman Man-hee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus hosted the seminar to answer concerns about whether the 24th chapter of the Gospel of Matthew is related to the war between Russia and Ukraine in relation to the recent international situation.

The seminar, which was held on YouTube simultaneously in 7 Asian countries including Japan, India, Malaysia, and Indonesia, on April 9th under the theme of 'War and Peace in the End Times', was attended by more than 40,000 people, and among them, religious leaders including over two thousand pastors who applied for follow-up training.

A seminar held in the Americas on April 10th with the same theme reflected a keen interest in the explanation of the Bible, which had not been heard before, with about 600 pastors and 45,000 people watching the seminar.

In his sermon, Mr. Lee revealed that Matthew 23 explains the First Coming and Matthew 24 explains the signs of the Lord's Second Coming, and emphasized that the war between the two kingdoms in Matthew 24 is about faith, not the current war between Ukraine and Russia. In other words, the war in Matthew 24 is the battle between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil. He also explained in detail Babylon, the kingdom of the devil, and the book of Revelation, which records Babylon as a seven-headed, ten-horned beast. He emphasized that these contents can be understood by reading the book of Daniel just like Jesus said, and that the war between nations in the Bible takes place in the Tabernacle Temple of Revelation and is not a war of the world.

After that, Chairman Lee unraveled the meaning of the verses in Matthew 24 in connection with Revelation 13 one by one and criticized the established church's interpretation of the chapter in the Bible as a war in the world. He further explained that Matthew 24 is currently being fulfilled and Shincheonji Church of Jesus explains and conveys it according to the six-fourth principle.

As Mr. Lee wrapped up the seminar he stated, "We must follow God's word and His will. The purpose of our faith is the Kingdom of Heaven and Eternal Life. Thus, we must understand that the words written in the Bible is the way and path that God has set for us to walk to get to Him and the Kingdom of Heaven. If we are true believers, we must be dedicated 100% to our faith. All of us have our hope in heaven and by knowing these words we get to be part of God's family and living with God forever. We must be one together."
