Blackstone Career Institute Adds CVS/Walgreens Externship to Pharmacy Technician Program

    ALLENTOWN, PA, May 18, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This partnership, with both CVS Pharmacy and Walgreens Pharmacy, provides a hands-on experience to prepare students for the workforce.

Thanks to these new partnerships with Walgreens and CVS pharmacy, Blackstone Career Institute students will complete the externship by the time they finish the career training program. With the help of externship representatives, students can choose a pharmacy based on availability and personal convenience.

The externship provides hands-on training in a pharmacy setting, which is critical to enter the working market. Both Walgreens and CVS Pharmacies are seeking Technicians to fill open positions all over the country so the experience will increase the likelihood of landing a job in the desired field.

Additionally, Blackstone's Pharmacy Technician program prepares students to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) or NHA ExCPT exam. These certifications, coupled with real-world experience, verify competence and reliability to potential employers.
