The Laurel Minneapolis Receives the Finance & Commerce Top Projects Award!

    MINNEAPOLIS, MN, May 25, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Laurel Minneapolis, a recently renovated historic apartment building in Minneapolis is proud to accept two prestigious awards this month.

Finance & Commerce presented its Top Projects Award to MAVEN Development Group for achievements in the construction industry and our community with its recent renovation of one of Minneapolis's oldest buildings, The Laurel Apartments.

The Laurel Apartments project was a complete renovation of a beautiful, historic building in Minneapolis which was originally constructed in 1893. MAVEN selected the project as over the course of time, this beautiful, historic landmark had begun to decay...both in beauty and reputation. Knowing that the building was in a prominent location: situated in the heart of Minneapolis's Loring Park neighborhood, overlooking the Basilica of St. Mary, and just blocks from the Orpheum Theater downtown Minneapolis, there would always be appeal and demand for this area.

The goal with the renovation was to bring the historic building back to life. To celebrate its original state of beauty once again by offering upscale, newly renovated apartment homes. The renovation would honor the history and charm of the original Queen Anne style architecture but blend modern conveniences and updates.

"The Laurel was equally, if not more challenging than the Rand Tower Hotel –(a historic rehab project five times the scale, which received a Top Projects Award in 2020), and we are extremely honored to be selected for this prestigious award two years in row!"

In addition to receiving the Top Projects Award, Laurel Apartments has also been selected to receive a Preserve Minneapolis Award in the category of Historic Restoration, Rehabilitation or Adaptive Reuse and will be accepting the award this Wednesday at the Capri Theater.
