PHOENIX, AZ, June 10, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gift of Adoption Fund, a non-profit organization providing financial assistance to complete both domestic and international adoptions, is announcing the newest member of its Arizona Chapter Board. Alicia Ruttinger, a Senior Accounting Manager for Grossman Property Companies, a CPA and CISA, will help the Arizona Chapter raise funds and expand its presence across the state, uniting vulnerable children with their forever families.
As a working mom of three kids, Ruttinger wanted to help others create a family by providing monetary assistance to those in need. "What a double win—these children are our future," said Ruttinger.
Today, there are more than 150 million orphans in the world with 400,000 children in the U.S. alone living without permanent families. Gift of Adoption puts adoption in reach for more vulnerable children by providing the final funding necessary for adoptive families to welcome a child home.
Ruttinger graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and later received her MBA from Florida State University. She is a Senior Accounting Manager for a company in the hospitality/real estate industry. She is also a member of ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association) and a proud mom to three boys, including a set of identical twins.
"I hope to one day be able to adopt a child myself, as I would love to give a child without a permanent home the gift of family, and also bring up the estrogen level in my home," said Ruttinger.
About Gift of Adoption Fund
Gift of Adoption is a national charity that provides grants of up to $15,000 to complete the adoptions of vulnerable children. Priority is placed on helping children facing what is possibly their only chance at adoption, including those at-risk of separation from siblings, entering foster care, aging-out of an orphanage, or with special needs. Gift of Adoption is the largest provider of adoption assistance grants on a nondiscriminatory basis (without regard to age, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or marital status) and our grants are paid directly to adoption agencies and attorneys working on the child's behalf. Since inception in 1996, Gift of Adoption has awarded more than $12 million to give nearly 4.300 children permanent families and the chance to thrive. Gift of Adoption is recognized by Charity Navigator and the Better Business Bureau's Wise Giving Alliance.
