Irrigation Association focuses on industry's future during July's Smart Irrigation Month

    FAIRFAX, VA, June 17, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Irrigation Association is excited to announce that July 2022 has once again been designated as Smart Irrigation Month. Each year, the Irrigation Association shines a spotlight on the benefits of efficient irrigation and the wise and efficient use of water through this month-long initiative celebrated throughout July.

The 2022 Smart Irrigation Month is sponsored by HydroPoint, and the theme is Proud of our past. Focused on our future. The IA looks forward to celebrating the invaluable pioneers of irrigation and the current innovators and contributors who are focusing on the future of our industry.

Smart Irrigation Month kicks off on July 5 with Technology Tuesday. Irrigation professionals are encouraged to wear blue on July 5 to raise awareness about everything that makes up smart irrigation, including the people, practices and technologies that efficiently apply water to our agricultural fields, landscapes and turfgrass. Participants are encouraged to share photos of themselves wearing blue on social media using the hashtag #SmartIrrigationMonth.
