The most powerful and impactful words a person can say are, you made my day,
CHICAGO, IL, June 23, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Internationally renowned speaker, Howard H. Prager, President of Advance Learning Group will be conducting a program on June 23, 2022, at 5:30 PM CT at the Vernon Area Public Library at 300 Olde Halfe Day Rd, Lincolnshire, IL 60069. This presentation is partnered with the Buffalo Grove - Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce. Prager's presentation will be entitled, 'Positivity Driven Leadership'. The discussion comes from Prager's groundbreaking and critically acclaimed book, Make Someone's Day: Becoming A Memorable Leader in Work and Life (ISBN 978-1-64663-441-5, Kohler Books, 2021). Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
In his presentation, Prager will address how Positivity and kindness are something we all need, and especially today it seems to be in short supply. The presentation will answer questions such as, Why aren't we more kind to one another? How can leaders use kindness to motivate, inspire, and retain workers? What can we do to instill more kindness in the workplace, at home, and in public?
He will teach the VIP method that he established and outlines in his book, of how we can all do a little something, every day, that causes someone to say "You made my day!" Those four words are the strongest, most positive acknowledgement people say. People don't say them randomly. They say them when someone has done the right thing, the right way, and at the right time.
"I am thrilled to be teaming up with the Buffalo Grove - Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce speaking at the Vernon Area Public Library and even more so give attendees lessons from Make Someone's Day: Becoming A Memorable Leader in Work and Life" that will create a corporate culture of kindness, said Howard H. Prager. "I hope that people to leave the presentation with a desire to make someone's day throughout the conference. Think how that small act can ripple out and have such a positive impact on the entire conference."
"As my presentation description says, the most powerful and impactful words a person can say are, you made my day," continued Prager. "I learned this years ago as I recount in the book. For leaders it is a way to inspire and motivate staff and colleagues. In everyday life it is a heart-lifting way to show those around you and perfect strangers that you care."
The premise behind Make Someone's Day is that you haven't just committed an act of kindness when you hear those words. You have done something at the right time and in the right way that may turn someone's day or even life around, inspire and motivate them, or get them unstuck. With many examples and short exercises, Make Someone's Day teaches you how to make people feel like VIPs. The book includes an easy to learn model, the VIP method, that helps people improve their success rate in making someone's day. It includes examples and exercises in every chapter that will allow you to embark on making someone's day. It also provides the neuroscience behind Prager's concept. It is ideal for training programs, as well as everyday life. It is both a business book and self-help book in one, ideal for numerous audiences.
