LOS ANGELES, CA, June 24, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With the grace and blessings of The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism (SPH) Nithyananda Paramashivam, the Sovereign State of SHRIKAILASA hosted the Nithyananda Yoga Festival 2022 on the auspicious occasion of the International Day of Yoga, in collaboration with SHRIKAILASA Uniting Nations (SKUN) for Yoga, SHRIKAILASA Uniting Nations for Yogic Sciences and KAILASA's Nithyananda Hindu University.
Today, on the International Day of Yoga, when the whole world comes together to celebrate the gift of the ancient sacred science of Yoga given to the entire humanity by Sanatana Hindu Dharma (Hinduism), SHRIKAILASA® (or KAILASA), the First Nation for Hindus, under the blessings and guidance of The SPH, Head of State of SHRIKAILASA – presented the Nithyananda Yoga Festival and celebrated the biggest breakthrough in the history of human evolution, introduced by The SPH, which is the revival of authentic yoga directly based on the revelations from Paramashiva in Vedas and Agamas, the source scriptures of Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
Yoga, more than merely stretching or healthy lifestyle, is power manifestation itself, a powerful and potent method, based on the authentic and integrated ancient tradition of Yoga Sampradaya of Hinduism, prescribed by the Supreme Godhead, Paramashiva Himself, to align the "human DNA" with the "cosmic DNA" and manifest Paramadvaita – the state, space, powers, being and superconsciousness of Paramashiva.
On this most auspicious occasion, the next step in this breakthrough was taken with the introduction of the second and the third level of advanced sequences in the Nithyananda Yoga Paddhatti – namely Dwithiya Vinyaasa Krama, a set of 308 asanas (postures), and Tritiya Vinyaasa Krama, a set of 508 asanas.
The palm leaf manuscripts of Nithyananda Yoga PaddhattiSM with all the original Sanskrit verses from the scriptures forming the Dwithiya Vinyaasa KramaSM and Tritiya Vinyaasa KramaSM were offered at the feet of The SPH, after which the grand finale of today's Nithyananda Yoga Festival 2022, on the International Day of Yoga, included the performance of Dwitiya Vinyaasa Krama by the disciples of The SPH, in Adi Kailasa Nithyananda Sarvajnapeetham in Bangalore, India, attempting for the world record of 308 yoga asanas ever performed within one hour.
As a result, an Asia Book of Records Certificate and India Book of Records Certificate were awarded to The SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam for the maximum traditional asanas performed in one hour by a group – 308 traditional asanas including Parvatasana, Halipavasana, Nagipava Asana, Kokilasana, Neti Asana, Gajasana, Rksasana, Vaisyasana, Balalingasana, Pada Pidanasana and many more on the International Day of Yoga day both online and offline together, as confirmed on June 21, 2022.
Nithyananda Yoga incorporates all 12 components as per authentic Hindu scriptures including:
(1) Aushada – application of bhasma (sacred ash) on the forehead and all 16 sacred points in the body, Jnananjana and Kumkum on the third eye, turmeric and sandalwood paste on the temples.
(2) Abharana – the use of rudraksha jewelry
(3) Mandala – the use of Sri Yantra
(4) Weights
(5) Mantras – whereby the original Shastric verses pertaining to every asana are recited by the tantradharaka (the person chanting the mantras). The mantras must be imbibed by the yoga practitioner
(6) Japa – every asana is to be done with an internal recitation of a particular Japa, that is visualized as a rotational momentum in the throat
(7) Bandhas – these are locks executed at particular chakras
(8) Mudras – limb and facial gestures done during an asana
(9) Pranayama – Application of various forms of kumbhaka (special breathing technique) during an asana
(10) Sadguru Vandanam and achamaniyam – invocation of the Master and purificatory steps
(11) Sankalpa – the conscious resolution done to manifest a reality
(12) Asana itself
The SPH has also revived Shivasthamba Yoga℠ and Kundalini Rajju Yoga℠. Shivasthamba Yoga℠ (also known as Mallakhamba, or pole yoga) is a traditional Indian sport in which Yogic postures are performed on a vertical wooden pole. Shivasthamba Yoga℠ has its roots in the ancient science revealed in the sacred Shaiva Agamas. Kundalini Rajju Yoga℠ (also known as rope yoga) involves Yogic postures performed on a suspended rope.
Past certificates conferred to The SPH for yoga include:
(1) Guinness World Record for the largest rope yoga lesson (Kundalini Rajju Yoga℠) on September 30, 2017
