CONCORD, NC, July 23, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Trails Carolina Wilderness Therapy Program is a residential treatment center for teens located in the mountains of western North Carolina. They revealed that the next date on their Parent Alumni Support Series takes place on August 10th. Situated right before the start of the traditional school year, the title of the class is "Creating Healthy Habits Around School."
This is a class many have looked forward to within Trails Carolina, as healthy habits have the opportunity to impact not only students but anyone living their day-to-day life. Adding healthy habits is much easier with the proper guidance, from eating healthy to relaxing the mind.
As the name implies, Trails Carolina hopes to impact students needing to make proper decisions on and away from campus. It's much easier for students to maintain healthy habits while on campus since they are under supervision. Discipline kicks in by taking what's learned at Trails Carolina and doing the same thing at home.
One of the biggest struggles for alumni when transitioning back home is keeping up with the healthy habits they learned while at Trails Carolina. It's not unheard of / unusual to fall back into old routines, but this class aims to help students and supportive families. With the right encouragement, families can positively impact their loved ones and incorporate their new found skills.
Part of a series of classes for alumni, this one is placed during back-to-school season for a reason. Graduates of Trails Carolina are transitioning back home and getting ready to start a new school year. Having healthy habits at the beginning can make it much easier as time goes on.
The classes act as a supplement to the bi-weekly calls with alumni parents as well. The more information families receive to do their part at home, the better their child will be in the long term. Since its launch, Trails Carolina Wilderness Therapy believes they are only as good as their alumni once they achieve success away from the friendly confines.
After this class in August, there is one more for 2022 scheduled for November 2nd. The topic for this class is "Presence Over Perception," which strives to provide a great way to deal with mental health struggles and related issues. Trails Carolina feels students and families can gain plenty from this class and grow together.
Anyone looking for more information on the class can reach out to Julia Andrick, the director of admissions and outreach at Trails Carolina. She's eager to find out how many sign up for the opportunity. The plan is to offer more opportunities like this to help the growing alumni base as much as possible.
