Morris, King & Hodge, P.C., Announces 2023 Driver Safety Scholarship Program

    HUNTSVILLE, AL, September 01, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The 2023 Driver Safety Scholarship Fund essay program has launched, marking the ninth consecutive year for the competition, the law firm of Morris, King & Hodge, P.C. announced today.

The program's goals are to raise awareness of the dangers associated with distracted driving and provide financial assistance to deserving students to further their higher education.

Morris, King & Hodge, P.C., will award a total of $4,200 in three separate scholarships to the applicants who write the most outstanding essays discussing ways to inform the public about the dangers of driver distraction and strategies to eliminate the hazardous activity.

The program is open to Alabama high school seniors and first-year college students in the Alabama counties of Dekalb, Franklin, Lawrence, Colbert, Cullman, Jackson, Lauderdale, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan.

The first-place winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship, the second-place winner will receive $1,200, and $1,000 will go to the third-place winner.

To participate in the 2023 Driver Safety Scholarship Fund essay program, applicants must submit an original 1,000-word essay on this topic:

"How can we educate our community about the dangers of distracted driving and what are some practical ways we can drastically reduce distracted driving-related accidents?

A panel from Morris, King & Hodge, P.C., and associated parties will judge the submissions on content, correctness of facts, grammar, style, and originality. Judges will look for clear, original essays that are logically organized and well-supported.

The deadline for submissions is April 14, 2023. The firm will announce the winners on May 1, 2023.
