"Dylan's efforts, paired with the support that officers like Captain Hall of Detachment 825 offered him, led him to both pursue higher education and submit his application for our scholarship."
CHARLESTON, SC, September 02, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Charleston, SC, September 2 - George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers is happy to award Dylan Zachery Woolard, a student at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, $1,000 in scholarship funds courtesy of the Veterans and Military Family Scholarship.
Dylan reports that he intends to use this scholarship to first complete his degree at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. He then plans to pursue a Juris Doctor through the Funded Legal Education Program.
In applying for this scholarship, Dylan submitted evidence of academic achievement, along with a history of service in the United States Air Force. It was his essay that helped his application make an impression on George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers' staff, however.
In his essay, Dylan outlines a childhood full of sacrifice. His essay speaks to the complexities of growing up in poverty throughout the United States, as well as the challenges of living in an American-Korean household. Dylan highlights the efforts of his Air Force recruiter as what allowed him to change his academic and personal fortunes.
Dylan notes that he joined the United States Air Force through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps when he was eighteen years old. A burgeoning friendship with 2nd Lt. Benjamin Taulli encouraged his entry into the program, as did his grandfather's military history.
Moreover, Dylan notes how the support he found in the AFROTC directly impacted his ability to go to college. His own efforts, paired with the support that officers like Captain Hall of Detachment 825 offered him, led him to both pursue higher education and submit his application for our scholarship.
As a freshman at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, Dylan intends to pursue an education in finance and military leadership. He is also considering adding a secondary Bachelor of Art in Humanities with the Humanities Honors Program and Liberal Arts Honors distinctions to his roster.
Dylan plans to use this foundational education to eventually pursue a Juris Doctor, at which point he hopes to become a Judge Advocate General within the United States Air Force.
George Sink, P.A. Injury Lawyers is excited to provide Dylan and students like him the opportunity to further their education. Our team wishes Dylan the best of luck with the coming academic year.
