Dr. Homayoun Sasson Named "Best Doc" in Newsweek Poll

    NEW YORK, NY, September 09, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Homayoun Sasson — a board-certified plastic surgeon based out of Great Neck, NY — was recently included in a list of America's Best Plastic Surgeons as compiled by Newsweek.

Newsweek — the globally recognized news outlet — compiled the list based on data obtained from a national poll of plastic surgeons and industry professionals.

Every year Newsweek's annual survey of the Best Doctors in America assesses thousands of physicians from all 50 states, whose specialties span from cardiology to plastic surgery, to determine the best of the best among doctors practicing in the United States.

Participants in the survey were asked to rank their colleagues in three areas:

• Quality of care
• Continuity of care
• Quality of technical equipment

Besides voting for excellence along these general parameters, survey respondents were asked to name doctors who distinguished themselves in specific procedures. Dr. Sasson was chosen for his work in rhinoplasty.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Dr. Sasson served his residency in General Surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the world-renowned residency program at Yale University Hospital.

Dr. Sasson is no stranger to professional recognition. He's been published in many medical journals and lectured extensively. He currently sponsors two annual endowment awards for the best research in plastic surgery at the Yale University Plastic Surgery Residency Program.

He has received the Teaching Consultant of the Year Award from Northwell Health Systems and was recently honored with the Culture of Care Award by North Shore Manhasset Hospital.

In addition to his cosmetic work with patients in the Great Neck area, Dr. Sasson does pro bono work around the world. He frequently travels to Third World countries to conduct and teach reconstructive and restorative surgeries.
