The eco-friendly, self-assembly flip-flop Ewig221, launching on Kickstarter

    NEW YORK, NY, September 27, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The environment conservation project by Nagai Rams 'Ewig 221: modular flip flop for you and your environment' campaign will be open on Kickstarter.

Ewig221 made of TPE material, manufactured by Nagai Rams is available for recycling and does not wear out or occur form changes. TPE material is thermoplastic plastic which can be melted down to recreate a new Ewig221. Nagai Rams staff said "Generally, while flip-flops are made of different materials and various sub-materials such as PVC, EVA, or rubber, as there are more materials to be used, it is more difficult to recycle all these flip-flops." Adding more, "To create sustainable, environmentally friendly flip-flop, we needed not just material innovations, but design innovations as well."

We conducted a lot of tests to find the optimum degrees and materials, and manufactured the Ewig221 making the user's comfortability as a top priority adopting the ergonomic curves and using Pyrone materials. Pyrone materials are able to maintain its form and have great elasticity compared to other materials.

Nagai Rams' independent technique N-system is applied to the heel of the shoes. Generally, our ankles don't have any muscles or tendons to absorb shock, leaving only fat to absorb the blows of our steps. N-system is a heel cushioning system that will help walkers to feel more comfortable while walking and helps absorb impacts. Divided by soft/middle/hard cushion types, users can choose their own elasticity by attaching and detaching the different cushion soles.

All of Ewig221's parts are modularized, so you can assemble and disassemble them as you like. Because it is assembly-type, even if some of the parts are damaged or missing, you can purchase the parts in need as a simple replacement work. Colors will be released according with 5 different colors. You can customize the shoes by your preferences.
