UGM Dallas Joins Race to Support First Responders

    DALLAS, TX, October 11, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- UGM Dallas staff and residents participated in the 22nd Annual Freedom Run again this year as they promoted Recycling for the Homeless, where runners were encouraged to bring used electronics to donate. The recycling partnership with Re-Teck allows UGM Dallas to serve as the collection point for old smartphones, tablets and computers that are then recycled and reused. Click to Watch Video

Both UGM Dallas and Re-Teck were on site for the event that is presented by Spencer Fane LLP to help raise money for the Dallas Assist the Officer Foundation (ATO) in honor of Dallas' first responders and police officers. The team at UGM Dallas has been working with Up & Running Again, an organization that helps train homeless individuals to complete half marathons. The hard work, discipline and perseverance taught and learned in the training sessions are skills that will enable these homeless individuals to succeed as they transition out of the shelter.
