"Wish She Had a Heart" is a jazz/pop tune that looks at a 'relationship gone bad' with a strong hook and outstanding musicianship, especially from award-winning keyboardist Ed Kornhauser and the astonishing sax performance of San Diego jazz saxophonist Ross Rizzo.

When Ken first wrote the song about a man's broken heart over a 'taken by surprise' lost relationship. It was meant to be a rock piece but upon going into the studio Ken's guitar tracks and John Hildebrand's bass tracks tended to feel jazzier, riffy, and more appropriate to the lyric story. Ed picked up on the feel and 'sealed the deal with his brilliant jazz piano contribution. Ross took it over the top with a stunning sax solo.

A great melody, Ken's heartfelt vocal performance, and wonderful musicianship make "Wish She Had a Heart" one of the best cuts on an eclectic mix of tunes from Ken Lehnig's upcoming "Between Us" Album. Look for it everywhere.
