LOS ANGELES, CA, November 07, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Jongho Lee, henceforth referred to as MSIT) opened 'AIoT Week Korea 2022' from October 19th (Wed) to the 21st (Fri) in order to vitalize and improve competitiveness of IoT
Since its start in 2014, the event has had its 9th iteration this year, jointly hosted by the Korea Intelligent IoT Association, National IT Industry Promotion Agency, National Information Society Agency, Korea Internet & Security Agency, Korea Communications Agency, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Institute for Information & Communication Technology Planning & Evaluation, Korea Electronics Technology Institute, and the Telecommunications Technology Association.
IoT has recently become the catalyst for innovation by integrating with a wide range of areas of life, such as work and life, through the explosive growth of network-connected devices and integration with AI.
'AIoT Week Korea 2022' is a place where you can see the new products of key Korean IoT companies, key R&D progress, the standard status, and the present and future of intelligent IoT.In addition, the opinions of related industries, academia, and research were gathered,and the direction of the industry's future development were explored.
'AIoT Week Korea 2022' opened this year with the theme of 'The Key to the Future, Intelligent IoT Technology, A Convenient and Safe World', and held 8 diverse events including the Korea Exhibition, Conference, and Business Networking.
The 2022 AIoT Korea Exhibition, which was held from the 19th to the 21st in the B Hall in the 1st floor of COEX, had around 160 companies from Korea and overseas in attendance, and introduced intelligent IoT services and products from various fields, including urban safety, daily life (intelligent office, healthcare, etc), manufacturing, and logistics.
On the 20th, the second day, the AIoT Conference was held both online and offline (COEX 3rd floor E5, E6).With the theme of 'The Global Trend and Business Innovation Strategy of Intelligent IoT', there were a total 22 presentations in 3 tracks and 4 sessions. The state of urban air mobility (UAM), logistics, and the intelligent IoT integrated business ecosystem and cases from the public, industry, and public sectors were introduced.
The AIoT Disaster/ Safety Showcase, which was held from the 19th to the 21stin the B Hall in the 1st floor of COEX, displayed intelligent IoT products and solutions from the fields of disaster and safety, like intelligent monitoring solutions for fire and noxious gas detection and smart forecast and alerting solutions.In addition, there were consultations for business cooperation with clients.
In addition, there was a oneM2M 10 year anniversary seminar (19th) with the theme of 'Standard IoT Platform for AI, Metaverse, and Blockchain' which discussed oneM2M's ripple effect on industries like AI, blockchain, and metaverse, a AIoT New Technology/ Product Presentation (19th), OCEAN Summit 2022 (19th), IoT Awards (19th), and AIoT Business Networking (20th) held as well.
The MSIT said, "As IoT affects all fields, it is becoming a catalyst for innovation. In particular, the hyper connection and intelligentization of IoT will be play a role in innovations that will make our lives safer and more convenient," and went on to say, "By seeking the direction of development together with industries, academia, and research during the AIoT Week, the government and public will work together so that IoT will not lose momentum in integration, expansion, and innovation."
