LOS ANGELES, CA, November 29, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Black Angus Steakhouse® is sharing its photo art and heritage with fans and it's all for a great cause. Starting November 30, Black Angus will be hosting an on-site and online auction featuring the original photos that graced their restaurant walls. The Western-inspired photos, which belong to famed photographer David R. Stoecklein, are matted, framed, and ready for auction winners to spotlight in their own homes or offices. All proceeds from the auction will go to The Art of Elysium, a non-profit organization that provides community arts programs and artist services for schools, hospitals, and other facilities they serve.
"For years, our guests have admired the art in our restaurant, and we are delighted to be able to share it with them while helping a worthy cause," said Deborah Shapiro, VP of Growth. "We consider our guests part of our family, so passing these photos on to them is truly special. We are honored to know that our heritage will be able to live on beyond our four walls."
The first of the auctions will take place on November 30 from 3:00 pm PST to 10:00 pm PST at the Montclair Black Angus Steakhouse location. Participants may also bid online through https://go.charityauctionstoday.com/bid/BAmontclair. Guests may learn about the rest of the auction dates and locations through https://www.facebook.com/BlackAngusSteakhouse/. Winners may pick up their framed photos at the selected location 48 hours after the purchasing period.
All photos from the auction were captured by David R. Stoecklein. An artist selected by original Black Angus Steakhouse founder Stuart Anderson, who had a strong appreciation for Western art and held a Western Experience auction each year on his ranch. Spurred by a childhood love of cowboys and western landscapes, Stoecklein moved west from Pennsylvania and dedicated his career to capturing what he respected and loved –the culture of the American West and its foundation built on truth, honesty, and courage. Through his photographs, Stoecklein has brought the Spirit of the West to life for generations to come.
As Black Angus looks to refresh all their restaurants across the system, the auctioned art will be replaced with new photography from Stoecklein's original collection, but in black and white versions. The collection is now looked after by David Stoecklein's son Drew. Proud to follow in his father's footsteps, Drew continues to teach Western Photography Workshops while shaping his own prolific career.
