    SAN DIEGO, CA, December 07, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- 75-year-old Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Ken Lehnig releases his 6th solo album, "Between Us" on the American Windsong Music label. An eclectic mix of American root music, blues, country, folk, rock, and jazz. The ensemble of players includes guitars, vocals banjo, mandolin, keyboards Ken Lehnig, award-winning keyboardist Ed Kornhauser, jazz pianist JJ Lim, award-winning harmonica player Robert Cowan, world-renowned violinist Alicia Previn, lead guitarist Cory Wilkins, sax man Ross Rizzo, drummer Jim Wagner, bassist, singer, audio engineer, and co-producer John Hildebrand, and backup singers Patty Hildebrand and Annalyn Lehnig.

Ken wrote all 15 cuts of this album with a bit of humor and with a more extensive production palette than his previous albums. "Between Us" explores relationships' difficulties, complexities, and joys.

Ken's first band was "Somthinue" in 1964. One of Ken's written musings about that time was that they were unusual in that their repertoire was mostly R&B where the horn parts were played on electric guitar and all the kids in the band could sing. Several of the songs on this album are a nod back to that time, including "Better Forget Her", a clearly 70s-style production. A retro-style country two-step, "Wonderin' at the Life" is a fun look at a botched affair. The two anthem tunes, "Make it New" and "She Carries Me" are big production numbers, a style Ken has put in all of his previous 5 solo albums. Ken said that the three blues/ jazz songs, "No Time", "Ain't Got a Way" and "Wish She had a Heart" were the most fun to perform and record. The latter two were released as singles. There are dance tunes to step to, "Bad Boy Boogie", and "I Don't Dance". Story tale folk tunes to sit and reflect, "As If She'd never Been", "Chased From Behind", and "The Saddest Road". Every song on the album was arranged and produced to be bigger, louder, and with lots of energy.

Ken has written and fronted for a score of bands over the years, including a long stint with Ken Lehnig and the Burning Sage Band' those albums are available on Spotify, as well as all of Ken's solo albums.

"Between Us," is Ken Lehnig's best work to date.
