North Texas' Favorite Gas Station Restaurant Closing Original Watauga Location after 20 Years

    FORT WORTH, TX, December 28, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As Chef Point Bar & Restaurant prepares for New Year's Eve, the five-star family restaurant in a gas station of 20 years sadly and reluctantly announces it will be serving its last dish at its Watauga location on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

Although Chef Point Watauga has been enjoying one of its finest years of reviews and performance, Chef Point owners have decided to scale back operations to just the Colleyville location so that they can enjoy family, friends and life more.

Located north of the Fort Worth Metroplex, Chef Point Watauga, known for its "white tablecloth dining without the tablecloth," found international stardom quickly in its early years. Called the "Escargot gas station restaurant" by some, Chef Point Watauga was known for serving a range of cuisines from American to Italian, with touches of Soul Food and African delicacies and was featured in media outlets such as Food Network, Guy Fieri's Triple D, CNN, Paula Dean, Fox News, Star Telegram, Texas Monthly, Food & Wine magazine, Zagat, Wine Spectator, D Magazine and many, many more.

"While somber and hard, it is satisfying that our Watauga location is closing its doors at the top of its game when the food, service and customer satisfaction have never been higher," said Paula Nwaeze.

Owners Chef Franson Nwaeze and Paula Nwaeze will be hosting a final goodbye to their first location, with a week-long celebration starting on Saturday, January 21st, Chef's birthday. Paula and Chef encourage all family, friends, and customers to join them as they celebrate all the many years and wonderful memories of their original location.

The Colleyville location will continue to be operated by the wife and husband team, and is open for lunch, dinner, brunch, dine-in and togo and is available for catering and on-site special events.
