TAMPA, FL, February 27, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving®, an award-winning company and industry leader in stress-free solutions for moving and junk-hauling needs, recently celebrated their top performers at their annual Reunion. The awards ceremony spotlighted franchise partners who excelled in 2022 from generating more than $1 million in revenue to those who 'raise the bar' for their colleagues.
One of the highlights of the 2023 Reunion was the recognition of the Million Dollar Club, franchisees who brought in more than $1 million in revenue for the past year. In 2022, there were more than 90 franchisees who were named to the Million Dollar Clubs. This represents nearly half of the system. The top Million Dollar Club member is the Long Island College HUNKS, which is led by Steven Nickels and Ted Panebianco. The award-winning duo generated more than $11 million in revenue.
"Our franchise partners continue to amaze us with their commitment to our brand and the leadership they demonstrate for their individual locations," said Nick Friedman, Co-Founder and Visionary of College HUNKS. "We are incredibly impressed with how well our teams have done this past year with many meeting or exceeding their goals. We are delighted to honor them and their successes with our annual reunion."
Each year College HUNKS names a Move the World Award winner. This special award is granted to a team member who has gone above and beyond and made a lasting impact on the brand. This year, the award was granted to someone very near and dear to the brands heart, Co-Founder Omar Soliman's mother, Lynn Skynear. She passed away from pancreatic cancer last year and is considered the mother of the College HUNKS brand. It was her beat up cargo van that Nick and Omar used the first summer at College HUNKS, and her encouragement to name the brand College HUNKS Hauling Junk.
"Lynn was the spark that first lit our hearts that has gone on to impact millions of lives as a result. Her legacy is everlasting," said Friedman.
This year, College HUNKS named Chad Jacob Jr. their HUNK of the Year. This is a peer-elected award that Is bestowed upon a team member that embodies the brands core values. Jacob Jr. is from the Kalamazoo, MI location where he works alongside his father, Chad Jacob.
College HUNKS recognized the Raise the Bar winners. Awards were given to leaders in Total Revenue, Junk Service Revenue, Moving Service Revenue, and All Stars in Brand Alignment. Each of the Raise the Bar winners was spotlighted during Reunion and will also enjoy a free trip to Puerto Vallarta this spring.
The College HUNKS 2023 Reunion also spotlighted seven team members who celebrated their 10 Years of Service with the company, three who celebrated 15 Years of Service with the company, and 15 franchise partners who were named INC. 5000 winners. This year's event was hosted at Hilton Lake Buena Vista and drew College HUNKS team members from around the system.
"Our partners and team members bring their A-game for the business and the communities that we serve," added Friedman. "We are grateful for their hard work and sharing in our vision for being a best-in-class company."
