The elegant 14-year-old girl's bedroom contains a gilded Italian Baroque bed perched against the window, with a Jeff Koons sculpture of a balloon puppy above the headboard. A narrow steel and walnut writing table butts against the same wall with a wrought-iron chair sprouting flower stems. Nothing about this arrangement said "no Carvel until you finish your trigonometry homework." And over the desk, where a picture of Ashton Kutcher might presumably rest, hangs a work of art - an homage to Donald Baechler - by the poet and painter Rene Ricard.

2005 San Francisco Decorator Showcase!



Martha will be participating in this this years ' 2005 San Francisco Decorator Showcase!

The 2005 Showcase at One Cherry Street is a classic English Tudor with a brick façade. It was built in 1914 and sits on a cul-de-sac at the Presidio wall. With its beautiful walled-in garden on the south side, the home feels like a country house in the middle of the city. There are three floors of living space, which includes an elegant sitting room by Martha Angus.

This year, for the first time, the San Francisco Decorator Showcase will enhance the visitor experience by offering a self-guided audio tour of the house.
