TIGERAS, NM, May 23, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Author Michael Dolce takes readers on a wild ride through the afterlife in his new book "H.E. Double Toothpicks." This thought-provoking novel explores the inner workings of Hell and the experiences of its inhabitants, including former con man and splendid deviant, Sam Mann, and the late Professor of Philosophy, Cho Huimang.
Readers will be captivated by the question of how someone as seemingly incorruptible as Huimang ended up in Hell, and what happens, after arriving in Hell, he can't be made to suffer. When Sam Mann decides there is opportunity in Huimang's crisis, these two vastly different individuals take the reader on a ride of unexpected twists and turns, and raise the question of whether change can ever occur in a place where repetition is the cornerstone of social order.
In "H.E. Double Toothpicks," Dolce takes readers on a journey through the ultimate pit of despair, where hope seems impossible. But as the characters face their challenges and confront their own demons, they begin to discover that perhaps even in Hell, there can be a glimmer of hope.
Author Michael Dolce is a native of New Mexico, and was raised a Catholic. At the age of 17, he quit being a catholic and began to study the world's religions, and gave up religion altogether. These influences naturally found their way into what he's written. Presently, he is an agnostic who practices Buddhism, principles of which, such as coming to terms with one's ego and embracing compassion, can also be found in his writing. He received his B.S. in theatre from Eastern New Mexico University. There, he was a writer for its school paper, The Chase and a feature writer and managing editor for the year book, The Silverpack. He has also written a number of plays, four of which have been staged.
Dolce's writing is both witty and thought-provoking, and will leave readers questioning their own perceptions of morality and the afterlife. "Hell's Bureaucracy" is a must-read for anyone who loves a good philosophical adventure, and is sure to leave a lasting impression.
He has seven self-published books on Amazon.com. There are five volumes of poetry; Zero the Clown & a Lovely Garden of Flowering Weeds, Desire & Dust, Slap & Tickle, Magic & Malarkey, and 69 Sonnets. He has a collection of shorts, entitled Eat My Shorts, and finally, his first novel No Hand-Me-Down Life (Volumes one and Two). H.E. Double Toothpicks is novel number two.
"Michael Dolce has created a truly unique and captivating story that will stay with readers long after they turn the final page," said a spokesperson for the publisher. "We are thrilled to be bringing this book to readers around the world, and can't wait for them to experience the incredible journey of Sam Mann and Cho Huimang in Hell's Bureaucracy."
