About Flach

Christopher Flach is an 21 century Multimedia Artist, currently working between New York City and Cesis Latvia. Christopher is represented through the Gerald Bland Gallery of New York City. Christopher Received a BFA in applied art working predominately in steel and clay from Marietta College and later a Doctorate in Psychology from Saybrook Institute in San Francisco California.

Early Art Career: Christopher's early work as an assistant photographer under the tutelage of Robert Mates and Mary Donlan at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City served as a key role for which Christopher moved from the periphery to the center of his creative activity.

Studying with such notable teachers as Ansel Adams, Mary Ellen Mark, Yusuf Karsh.

Later William [Heick who was an influence on Christopher's documentary film of Madeleine Castaing].

Throughout most of the 1990s and 2early 2000'S Christopher raised a family, worked as a photographer, and a psychologist.

In 2009, he relocated to New York City and studied painting and sculpture at the national academy of Art in New York City.

As an Artist Christopher is best known for for his paintings and sculpture that grace the walls of New York city's m most timeless of Madison Avenue of treasures, The Carlyle Hotel.
