LAS VEGAS, NV, August 18, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Multi-Platinum and Grammy Award-Winning Producer Mally Mall has impacted the music industry in a major way through the production of traditional Hip-Hop music as well as fusing new sounds to create many of the chart-topping hits we hear today. Mally has been instrumental to the success of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, with production credits on the "Thug Stories" and "Strength & Loyalty" albums, in which Strength & Loyalty has now gone platinum.
Diversifying his credits, Mally Mall earned a Grammy Nomination on Lupe Fiasco's "Food & Liquor II" album and has created chart-topping hits with Hip-Hop artists such as 2Chainz, E-40, French Montana, Future, Gucci Mane, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, Migos, Nipsey Hussle, 2Pac, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa, and many more. Mally's contributions towards Hip-Hop goes beyond music as an Executive Producer on the documentary "2 Turntables and a Microphone, The Life and Death of Jam Master J" alongside 50 Cent.
Mally Mall's love for music is deeply rooted and began at an early age growing up in the Bay Area. Mally Mall received his name from Mac Dre, the iconic rapper from Northern California, whom Mally saw as his older brother. Making a name for himself alongside Mac Dre, Mally Mall knew the importance of building relationships which eventually led him to Las Vegas in 2001.
With Mac Dre's unfortunate passing in 2004, Mally Mall always honored Mac Dre and even had a mural of him. Fast forward to 2011, Mally was introduced to the iconic artist we know today as Drake, who came to Mally's studio and noticed Mac Dre's mural. Inspired by the mural, Mally challenged Drake to show him what he knows about Mac Dre and lay it out in the booth. Mally played a couple of beats for Drake and within minutes, Drake laid the first verse and the hook to "The Motto" all in one take. "The Motto" became one of the hottest singles peaking at #1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs, was nominated for the Best Rap Song at the 55th Grammy Awards, and continues to be one of the most streamed songs of all time. This single and music video was dedicated to the late Mac Dre and even included Mac's mother Wanda Salvatto in the music video.
For Mally, it is more than just making great hits, it is about leaving a lasting impression and contributing to the legacy of our era. In fact, Mally preserved Tupac Shakur's (2Pac) legacy in collaboration with Steve Lobel, by securing unreleased vocals of the iconic rapper after his passing and gifted this body of work to 2Pac's mother Afeni Shakur. When Mally called Afeni Shakur regarding these vocals, she told Mally "Tupac is here right now listening to everything we are saying; he wanted you to bring this footage to us". Mally and 2Pac had a deeply rooted connection both being from the Bay Area and the fact that Mally lived in Las Vegas where 2Pac passed was a spiritual connection Afeni acknowledged.
