About Rafaële Désiré: Born in Paris, Rafaële Désiré was raised in the French Caribbean Island of Martinique. An artistic child who loved reading above all, she chose science over literature when she moved back to Paris to become an orthodontist, but a trip to the US radically changed her life. She studied fine arts at Otis/Parsons and film production at NYU. Rafaële Désiré lives in Los Angeles, California. The Call of The Dreamwalkers is her second novel.
