FALLS CHURCH, VA, December 06, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Connect Our Kids is proud to announce that Season 2 of their animated video series, All Connected: A Place for Belonging, is set to begin on December 7th, with one episode released every Thursday for 12 weeks.
All Connected: A Place for Belonging is a short-form animated series built for teens and young adults who have experienced childhood trauma. The free series aims to educate viewers on how the brain works, how trauma impacts the brain and our relationships, and how healthy coping strategies and positive support networks can help us recover from traumatic experiences.
The series was developed by trauma therapists, foster care experts with lived experience, and Octopie animation studio. Season 2 was made possible by a GEER grant from the state of Mississippi.
Season 2 focuses on helping teens and young adults reach their full potential by teaching that consistent connections and healthy relationships are the key to recovering from trauma. Over the course of 12 episodes, viewers will learn about stress and anxiety, the importance of safety and belonging, and the skills needed to identify and grow safe connections with others. Learning these key skills can prevent and alleviate the impact of trauma and improve long-term outcomes for teens and young adults.
All Connected: A Place for Belonging is one of many tools included in the Connect Our Kids Family Search and Engagement Platform. Because of forward-leaning advocates and generous donors, like the state of Mississippi, this innovative video series is freely accessible on https://www.youtube.com/@all_connected.
"The state of Mississippi was proud to partner with Connect Our Kids on this important initiative," said Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves. "Mississippi kids are our future, and their wellbeing is critical to the future of our state. I look forward to seeing the positive impact this series will have on kids across Mississippi."
