Ophthalmologist Kian Eftekhari now a three-time Castle Connolly Top Doctor

    SALT LAKE CITY, UT, January 22, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kian Eftekhari, MD, has been recognized as a 2024 Castle Connolly Top Doctor — the third time he has received the prestigious Top Doctor honor. Only about 7 percent of the nation's licensed physicians are selected annually as Castle Connolly Top Doctors in their regions for their specialties.

Dr. Eftekhari is an oculofacial plastic surgeon who specializes in performing cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery and other oculoplastic procedures.

Dr. Eftekhari is with the Eyelid Center of Utah, the Salt Lake City practice he founded in 2019. Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, he grew up in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Eftekhari is known for the skilled, patient-tailored approach he takes to every reconstructive and aesthetic surgery he performs. He uses non-surgical and minimally invasive plastic surgery techniques whenever he can and offers patients innovative approaches to eyelid and forehead procedures.

These include upper and lower blepharoplasty (repair of sagging eyelids); endoscopic forehead lifts; minimally invasive ptosis (droopy eyelid) surgery; and no-scar (transconjunctival) lower eyelid surgery.

Dr. Eftekhari earned his medical degree at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed a four-year ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania/Presbyterian Medical Center Scheie Eye Institute. He completed an accredited two-year oculofacial plastic surgery fellowship in Salt Lake City with Dr. Richard Anderson. He is an active member of The Oculofacial Society, the society of eyelid surgeons also known as the American Society for Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS).
