Dr. Sasson earned his medical degree at University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed a three-year surgery residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; a two-year plastic surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital; a two-year fellowship in surgical oncology at UCLA Medical Center; and a one-year fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at University of Pittsburgh Affiliated Hospitals.

In addition to his practice responsibilities, Dr. Sasson serves as a clinical professor of plastic surgery at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.

He also has served since 2014 as an honorary New York City police surgeon.
