Daniel Schmitt & Co. Offering Rare 1962 Mercedes and 1989 Porsche for Sale

    ST. LOUIS, MO, January 25, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel Schmitt & Co. Classic Car Gallery announces it has acquired two rare vehicles, an investment grade 1962 Mercedes and 1989 Porsche, added them to its inventory and is offering both for sale to the public.

A Mercedes-Benz 220 SEb Cabriolet with a four-speed manual transmission has been restored and has only 67,736 miles. The 1962 vehicle is a European model brought to the U.S. in 1984. One of only 2,729 produced it has complete papers and documentation including a photo album of the restoration. The Mercedes features a white exterior and red interior.

Schmitt has also procured a 1989 Porsche 928 S4 Cabriolet conversion by ZMC. The vehicle is one of only five known to exist. It has only 21,559 miles and includes every available option. Amenities range from climate control air conditioning to power seats, front and rear stabilizer bars and a premium sound system. The original owner's manual accompanies the vehicle.

The DeTomaso has only 64,000 miles with a 302 CI V8 engine and 5-speed ZF manual transmission. "This vehicle was once owned by an airline pilot who gave it meticulous care. It includes all the paperwork and is something special for the discriminating collector searching for the rarest of vehicles."
