According to TPI's owner, Bobby Henry, " Our Mexico operation will enable us to be more competitive in our domestic and international markets".
"Given the fact that the cost of production of our Asian suppliers has risen significantly, we identified Mexico as being the right solution for our company. We investigated and interviewed several firms to assist us in making this transition. Our company management selected the Offshore Group, and has found the organization to be knowledgeable, organized, and results-oriented. They have addressed all of the issues that need to be considered in our start-up process and have basically left us to focus on the manufacturing aspects of our business."
In addtion to the initial production of thermostats, the company also plans to produce lighting products and capillaries for heating and cooling applications. They will be reviewing product currently manufactured in China and consider moving that production to Mexico.
