In the latest budget proposal, $50 million has been allocated to enhance and expand the tourism marketing efforts that have been instrumental in showcasing Michigan's diverse attractions.

"Michigan – especially the U.P. – is a year-round tourism destination, which is not something many states can make a claim to. This proposal leverages our strength as a state. We would like to thank Representative Will Snyder (D-Muskegon) for his leadership and prioritizing Pure Michigan funding in this budget."
