Celebrate Ice Cream Month with Handel's Homemade Ice Cream's Alton Square Grand Opening

    IRVINE, CA, June 28, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kick off National Ice Cream Month with an all-new Handel's Homemade Ice Cream! The nearly 80-year-old brand is expanding in the Sunshine State, bringing its beloved, freshly made daily ice cream to the Irvine community. Join us at Alton Square, 5365 Alton Parkway in Irvine, for the grand opening celebration on Friday, July 5, 2024, starting at 11:30 a.m. The perfect treat to complement your Fourth of July festivities!

The celebration will feature all-day entertainment, including a balloon twister and a face painter. Additionally, the first 25 guests in line will have the opportunity to claim Free Ice Cream for a Year!

Franchise partners John Messenger and John Wolikow are leading the Alton Square location. Both co-owners grew up in Youngstown, OH, enjoying Handel's Homemade Ice Cream, which was founded in 1945 by Alice Handel. Both franchisees recall meeting up for Handel's after their baseball games growing up and were eager to tap into the flourishing brand.

"John and I grew up eating Handel's as kids from Youngstown, Ohio but we never dreamed we would be opening our own stores together one day in California," said Messenger, Co-owner of Handel's Alton Square. "We feel Handel's is so popular because you can taste the freshness in the product as we make the ice cream every day right in the store and we never skimp on the ingredients!"

Guests can scoop up some of Handel's signature and seasonal flavors for National Ice Cream Month, including Graham Central Station, Blue Monster, Peach, and Lemon Bar.

Handel's Alton Square is a walk-in store that will offer outdoor seating, pickup, delivery, and catering options. The new location will be open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Handel's Alton Square will also offer a $3 Tuesday special to area nonprofits and community organizations for any small cone or dish.
