ST. LOUIS, MO, July 26, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stepping Into The Light Ministries (STILM) announces it will host its annual dinner and fundraiser, 5pm to 9pm, Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Mahler Ballroom, 4915 Washington Blvd. in St. Louis.
The organization, providing drug and alcohol rehabilitation for men, is hosting a black-tie formal event featuring several speakers, awards, and a silent auction.
STILM founder, Bishop Jerome Bracely, will host the alumni awards presentation and deliver closing remarks. Additional speakers include Nathan Johnson, Pastor Joe Rice, Pastor Doris Bracely, and more.
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by calling Bishop Bracely at 314-422-6337, emailing [email protected], cashapp:$JeromeBracely, or at the door.
"This is our main fundraising event of the year and is well attended," said Bishop Bracely. "We invite everyone in St. Louis to honor our group of alumni and enjoy an evening that is not only fun but also inspiring."
Bishop Bracely is an embodiment of the saying, they don't need to hear you talking if they can see you walking! More than 10,000 men have been served through his program with a high rate of success. They have come off the streets, embraced God, been restored with their families, given up substance abuse, and found steady employment. Many are now married men and fathers.
The building now used by the ministry was purchased for $1, and since Jerome had no money in his pocket, even the $1 was donated.
Since STILM began its work in 1995 in old North St. Louis the drug dealers frequenting the area have fled. Property values have risen. Urban development is advancing throughout the neighborhood. SITLM has helped transform an entire community. Thousands of men have overcome homelessness and drug addiction.
Stepping Into The Light Inc. provides shelter and rehabilitation at 1402 Hebert Street in St. Louis. The intake office can be contacted at 314-231-5175.
