BRAVE Coalition Foundation Elects 3 New Board Members and New Executive Committee to Lead Breast Reconstruction Nonprofit

    SAN ANTONIO, TX, September 26, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- BRAVE Coalition Foundation, the first 501(c)3 organization to promote education and awareness of resources for breast cancer survivors regarding breast reconstruction options is pleased to announce the appointment of three new Board Members and a new Executive Committee by unanimous approval.

New Board Members
• Taylor Brisco, Esq., M.D.R., is a litigation attorney that graduated from Marquette University Law School with her Juris Doctor and from Pepperdine University with a Master of Dispute Resolution. She is admitted to practice law in Wisconsin, New York, and Texas. She is an attorney at a Dallas-based law firm where she focuses on commercial litigation and employment law. She will support BRAVE's legal needs and bring her big heart for helping others to the many BRAVE breast cancer patients.

• Lisa Shumpert, is the author of the international best seller, Team Turnaround: Spark High Performance in Your Direct Reports. She is currently a Chief Human Resources Officer and has over three decades of experience in human resources. She will bring strong leadership and guidance to BRAVE, supporting the powerful mission to ensure everyone impacted by breast cancer has the knowledge, resources, and community support necessary to confidently navigate their options around breast reconstruction and restoration.

• Shabnam Vaezzadeh, MD, MPA, BCMAS has over 25 years of Medical Affairs leadership in the medical device industry. She will support our mission of serving breast cancer survivors by leveraging her strong history of building relationships with healthcare professionals and experience leading medical publication strategy.

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and only around 30% will receive breast restoration rights and options. BRAVE is dedicated to educating women about their right to breast restoration surgery following breast cancer treatment.
