With nearly five years of experience in the business, Washington attended the Continental School of Beauty in New York, where she learned the skills and developed the confidence to successfully operate her own salon.

"I like to say this industry picked me," Washington joked. "I started school during the time of COVID, and I had to learn a lot via Zoom. When we finally were able to get into the classroom, I learned all the hands-on techniques in person," she added. "Once I became confident and got the hang of the technique,
I knew I would be able to provide excellent service.
