Pamela Seignious Chambers is no rooky when it comes to experience within the hospitality industry. After getting her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Chambers began her career in the industry working at the Twin Bridges Marriott in DC as a Room Service Supervisor. She quickly worked her way up from various Sales Manager positions across the Atlanta region and beyond. Chambers has experience at an array of Marriott hotels around the country, holding positions from Senior Sales Manager and Acting Director of Sales to Senior Account Manager, Director of National Accounts and National Account Manager, before transferring to Charleston in early 2006 to become the Sales Manager at the Renaissance Charleston, SC Historic District Hotel.
As a self-motivated, professional, goal-oriented and committed member of the team, Chambers is excited to start her new role at the property. Her organized and compassionate approach to her work has already been recognized through her dedicated proactive approach and strategic sales performance. She was a key player working with several important Southeastern states, as well as in all corporate business in states west of the Mississippi; she was also heavily involved in the sports, tour, travel and pharmaceutical markets. She has not only increased the sports market by 43 percent in 2007, and the pharmaceutical market by 15 percent, but has also exceeded total revenue goals in 2007 by an impressive 217 percent since starting her position at this historic Charleston, South Carolina hotel.
