/24-7PressRelease/ - San Francisco, CA, USA, July 10, 2008 - In response to the Department of Labor's announcement yesterday that it has formally debarred LawLogix Group Inc. from filing applications for permanent labor certification, we have been asked to confirm whether the submission of false data was necessary for testing or in keeping with the standard of the software industry. ImmigrationTracker wishes to assure its customers that we have never submitted any false applications with the Department of Labor for testing or any other purposes, as we felt the practice was neither necessary nor appropriate.
Immigration Tracker is aware of the Department of Labor's increased scrutiny of the labor certification process, as evidenced by the debarment of another software company and the ongoing investigations of two prominent law firms. For this reason, we have always been careful to avoid doing anything that would place the ability of our customers to file PERM applications electronically in jeopardy, or further tarnish the practice of business immigration law.
As the only immigration management software company with in-house immigration attorneys, ImmigrationTracker understood the fundamental concept that official federal forms filed under penalty of perjury cannot have known false information. Rather than filing scores of false PERM cases, as LawLogix Group Inc. is alleged to have done, ImmigrationTracker chose to test its PERM online filing capability by working with a volunteer law firm in submitting legitimate PERM applications. We also designed our software with additional safeguards to prevent accidental submissions online.
ImmigrationTracker is committed to working with the Department of Labor and other government agencies on integrating e-filing capability without compromising the integrity of those government systems. We will continue to uphold this standard, for ourselves and for the benefit and safety of our customers.
