Despite lagging economy, local professional services firm can't hire fast enough.

The company was founded in 2002 by Wilberto Martinez, an MIT-educated engineer who was born and raised in Puerto Rico, and Jose B. For the first few years, Meridian Partners offered e-business consulting services to South Florida companies. Since 2004, their focus has been on providing SAP software expertise to public sector organizations. This targeted approach has paid off. Last year, Meridian Partners was ranked as one of the fastest growing organizations by Inc. magazine with sales growing by 1,750% from 2004 to 2007.

"Our biggest challenge is filling the positions to do the work," states Mr. Martinez. "We are very selective and our SAP consultants are highly specialized. Combined with our fast growth, recruiting top talent has become our number one priority."
