G.W. Exotic Finishes Missouri Tiger Re-Home efforts

    /24-7PressRelease/ - WYNNEWOOD, OK, September 02, 2008 - The G.W. Exotic Animal Memorial Foundation has accomplished its mission of spear heading the re-home efforts of the Wes-A-Geh-Ya Tigers in Warrenton Missouri where an accident cost a 26 year old his right leg.

After being on site one worker told Joe Schreibvogel Director of G.W. the tiger was being taunted with a piece of chicken from the top of his cage by the injured man, causing the tiger to climb to the t op. The last 21 of the remaining tigers will be heading out September 5, 2008 to the Serenity Springs Wildlife Center of Calhan Co. Serenity Springs is home to already 116 big cats and 4 other exotic animals. This will a long hard task moving the animals and getting them back to Colorado, says "Joe Schreibvogel of G.W. Exotics." "We just went through it ourselves and just the gas alone is a huge hunk of the funds it takes to get them relocated." Serenity Springs will need all of the donations they can get to make the trip, he stresses. This will end the task that most thought would take a long time to figure out where to send that many large cats with such a short time to do it in.

The three organizations joining forces to make this all possible without one animal having to be put to sleep. Sandra Smith owner of Wes-A-Geh-Ya is relieved that the animals are all going to be ok. The majority of the animals are under 10 years old so it will be a long financial road of caring for these animals into the future. The general public is encouraged to make donations as there is no state or federal funding for this kind of undertaking.
