/24-7PressRelease/ - POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, September 06, 2008 - With increased competition and closer outsourcing scrutiny, The Global Outsourcing 100 will enhance its annual service provider ranking with new advisor rankings and expanded analysis.
The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) today announced two additions to its annual Global Outsourcing 100 independently judged expert rankings:
-- The World's Best Outsourcing Advisors - a new ranking of the top consultant, legal and related advisory firms globally
-- The Global Outsourcing 100 Plus- an expanded industry report highlighting the qualifications and capabilities of the best service providers and advisors globally
"Rising competition among global service providers in outsourcing has given way to an ever increasing need to provide buyers of these services with better tools and guides to make selections," said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett.
"At a time when companies that outsource are scrutinizing their providers and advisors more closely, these additions will make The Global Outsourcing 100 an even more valuable reference tool for companies seeking the best providers and advisors," he said.
The provider and advisor rankings are judged by an independent panel of recognized industry leaders using an objective methodology and compiled by IAOP. Established in 2006, The Global Outsourcing 100 includes Leaders and Rising Stars, as well as 25 sublists based on geographies, services and industry.
Application Process Opens
The online application process for service providers and advisors to apply for the rankings opened on Sept. 1 with a deadline of Nov. 1 to fully complete applications. Companies do not have to be IAOP members to apply.
Similar to the request for proposal process, companies are ranked on overall capabilities and quality following a rigorously judged application process that examines multiple criteria. Final rankings are based on a weighted average on demonstrated competencies, size and growth, management capabilities and customer references.
Each applicant receives a confidential summary of the judges' scoring sheets and comparative ranking data, as well as their own company's expanded report providing valuable market research feedback as part of the application package.
The Global Outsourcing 100 ranks firms that provide the full spectrum of outsourcing services from traditional information technology areas to growing sectors such as facility services, real estate, capital asset management, manufacturing and logistics. The data compiled also shows the strength and growth of the industry as a whole.
The 2009 list will again be unveiled in a special advertising section in the Fortune 500 issue of FORTUNE magazine in May.
The Global Outsourcing 100 Plus will provide industry-wide insights, company rankings and profiles, as well as information and guidance of particular value to outsourcing buyers. This expanded report will be available for purchase.
