/24-7PressRelease/ - LOS ANGELES, CA, September 09, 2008 - Clear Channel's KYSR-FM 98.7 interviews their first Nobel nominated rising artist, Cynthia Basinet.
(excerpt)
And The Nobel Peace Prize (Almost) Goes To...
Cynthia Basinet is a model and actress turned singer. Best known for her rendition of "Santa Baby" featured in the film "Party Monster," Basinet uses her sultry voice and visibility to raise awareness for others including refugees living in Western Sahara. Get this: she was nominated for a shared Nobel Peace Prize in '05. I'm not sure there are very many other up-and-coming musicians that can make that claim. Amidst all of this do-gooding, Basinet has also managed to release a lot of music. Her song "Yellow Taxi" has gotten over 3,000 plays on the New! "Adult" charts.
