NEW YORK, NY, October 12, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The company is working with futurethink, an innovation research and consulting firm, to create a program that will enable ReSource Pro clients to identify roadblocks that hinder innovation and create practical solutions. To maintain a long-term focus on innovation, ReSource Pro will form an innovation advisory board after the summit.
"We have stressed innovation in the services we bring to clients, and we want to seize the opportunity to push the entire industry to do things more effectively in the future," said Dan Epstein, CEO of ReSource Pro. "The ideas generated during the conference will benefit our clients and the industry as a whole, and the advisory board will ensure we maintain our momentum."
ReSource Pro will present plans for the structure of the advisory board during the conference, gather input from the participants and then finalize the composition of the advisory board.
The conference for ReSource Pro clients will be held in Qingdao, China, the company's operations center. ReSource Pro provides customized insurance processing solutions ranging from policy checking and loss summaries to billing, certificate issuance, reconciliation and claims reporting.
The innovation sessions include a series of practical exercises to help insurance leaders strategically select the tactics to create their own innovation road map.
"Too often, insurance industry executives feel they can't innovate because they are handcuffed by industry regulations," explained Lisa Bodell, futurethink CEO. "We have worked with a number of financial services firms to show them ways to innovate within the natural boundaries of their industry."
The first step is to articulate current business pain points, obstacles and hurdles, and how to make them better. Participants are asked to consider factors such as wasteful workflows, ineffective use of resources and issues that make an organization vulnerable to market pressures.
In order to envision the insurance industry in 2015, participants will be divided into teams to explore a number of questions, including:
- What skills will employees need to have?
- What will the key competitive differentiator be in 2015?
- What will drive value?
- What will continue to require a human touch (and can't be automated)?
- What would have to change to achieve a 50% increase in operating margins?
The teams will share their ideas, refine their vision and then list three specific, tactical initiatives needed to start operating more efficiently and make their vision a reality.
"We expect our clients to come away from this event with new approaches for conducting their business that will give them a significant competitive advantage," concluded Epstein.
