DENVER, CO, November 26, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Package forwarder, Aloha Forwarding, has entered into an agreement with Santa's workshop to deliver presents to all the good little boys and girls in Hawaii and Alaska this Christmas. "I've been a big believer in Santa Claus all my life," says Aloha Forwarding president, Darrell Houghton, "so we're very excited about our partnership with Santa and the important role we'll be playing in helping Santa deliver presents this year." The Denver-based business offers forwarding services to residents of Hawaii and Alaska via the United States Postal Service.
"We were initially contacted by one of Santa's elves," explained Houghton. "It turned out we were in a position to help Santa save time and money on his deliveries to the non-continental United States." After a short negotiation, Aloha Forwarding and Santa's Workshop quickly struck a deal. "UPS and FedEx shipping charges were killing us," explained Alabaster Snowball, Administrator of the Naughty & Nice list for Santa Claus. "That's why we were excited to learn how much money Aloha Forwarding could save us." A 2-pound package shipped from the mainland to Hawaii via UPS costs over $37. That same package shipped via Priority Mail is only $8.25.
"I knew it was a challenge for residents of Hawaii and Alaska to find merchants that would ship via Priority Mail, but I didn't know it was a challenge for Santa, too," said Houghton. For those merchants that only ship via UPS or FedEx, Santa can now save money by having all his packages delivered to Aloha Forwarding, who will then forward them on to good little boys and girls via Priority Mail.
Why are some merchants reluctant to offer Priority Mail as a shipping option? "Some think it costs more to mail a package to Hawaii and Alaska so they don't want to hassle with it," says Houghton. "Some merchants don't even ship outside the lower 48, so we're a great service to know about." Can customers save money by using Aloha Forwarding? "If Santa can save money, so can you."
When asked if Santa had any advice for hopeful kids this Christmas, Snowball replied "Yeah, Santa says you are more likely to get what's on your wish list if you include information about Aloha Forwarding. If a merchant only uses UPS or FedEx to ship to Hawaii or Alaska, the extra cost of shipping may mean the difference between getting what's on your list or receiving a 12-pack of tube socks."
With the anticipated higher volume of packages generated by becoming the Official Package Forwarder for Santa's workshop, Santa has agreed to loan Aloha Forwarding the services of two elves to help with package processing during the run-up before Christmas. "We would like to thank Santa for his generous offer of assistance," says Houghton. "Our customers should rest assured that their packages will be processed quickly and efficiently this Christmas. Your packages will be in very good hands. They might be little hands, but they are still very good hands."
To help Santa's helpers beat the high cost of shipping this Christmas, and to help introduce the benefits of using Aloha Forwarding, new members can use coupon code "Santa01" to receive $1.00 off the handling fee on their first order. Coupon expires December 31, 2008.
