Paradise24P - High Definition Post Production facility Opens in Columbia, Maryland

Situated in a relaxed campus setting; Advertising Agencies, Producers and Directors can avoid the often hectic and stressful environment of production facilities located in the gridlock of the city and get those "creative juices flowing" within a tranquil setting, yet they can reach Paradise24P within minutes of each municipality. Of significant note, is Paradise's use of 24P technology, to photograph and edit commercials and motion pictures in this revolutionary digital 24 frame video format. Although 24P was initially unacceptable in Hollywood, now that filmmakers such as George Lucas have utilized 24P in the production of both Star Wars Episodes II and III, the format is beginning to find almost universal acceptance.

The Paradise24P production team (because of their in-house creative staff), are able to offer an entire array of services and equipment involved in producing content for their existing clients. They also often bypass the Agency process to write, produce and direct commercials for clientele away from the traditionally expensive environment of the Agency model, yet they also offer the facility as the perfect boutique for the Agency producer demanding a high quality HD/35mm facility under one roof. Because Paradise24P is a relatively small facility, their production budgets are extremely competitive compared to larger facilities with large staffs and huge overhead. The highlight of the Paradise24P facility is the AVID DS/Nitris HDCAM/24P edit suite. This bleeding edge technology is capable of editing 35mm film, 24P/HDCAM and outputs content in virtually every HD/SD format. The Symphony suite is utilized for 24P/HD Offline and SD Online projects with a short shelf-life. To round-out the facility in Audio Post Production, Barnaby Bristol, heads-up the ProToolsHD Digital Audio suite capable of recording, mixing and layback in any format.

The Principals include Sy Pilz, DGA; who has an impressive list of over 1,500 film and commercial credits to his resume including national clientele such as Miller Brewing Company, GEICO, Citgo, Circuit City, US Airways, and Chevrolet ... to name a few. Throughout his tenure in the industry he has compiled a list of credits in the television and cable programming arena with national syndication including over 500 episodes of "Sports Edge", 150 Episodes of "Inside the NBA", and over 200 episodes of "Trackside" with George McNeely. Gary DeMoss, an accomplished Director of Photography with over twenty-five years experience in the television and motion picture industry, heads up the creative team as the Writer and Producer for both the commercial and motion picture division. As an award winning DP, Mr. DeMoss has earned the respect of his peers by receiving local Emmy Awards, Houston Film Festival Awards and many additional honors in the industry as a DP. Mr. DeMoss has also written three screenplays that Paradise24P will produce over the next few years and more significantly he brings the advantage and ownership of the 24P technology to the production team.

Director Sy Pilz, DGA, and Writer/Producer Gary DeMoss, both twenty-five year veterans in the motion picture and television industry and also Maryland natives, plan to utilize the vast array of skilled talent and film technicians in the Washington/Baltimore area.
