MCLEAN, VA, December 26, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dataline's expert on Cloud Computing Security, Kevin Jackson, lent his insight into the safety of cloud computing and it's possible implementation into the White House. Jackson was interviewed for his expertise and knowledge on Cloud Computing Security by Andrea Seabrook of National Public Radio (NPR) for their top rated show, "All things Considered."
The show, titled "Will Cloud Computing Work in the White House?" aired on Sunday, December 21, 2008, and focused on how cloud computing technology can be used to improve government services. This has been a wildly discussed topic as the new administration moves into the White House and Dataline is thrilled to be on hand for the discussion. During the interview, Mr. Jackson outlined how cryptographic data splitting could be used to improve the security of information stored "in the cloud".
Dataline is bringing together the greatest minds in the industry to tackle the topic of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Cloud computing, and the Net-Centric end-state. Pulling together leaders in the industry will offer new and innovative solutions to old problems and legacy systems; and, serve to enable real-time information flow to the warfighter as the end-state of net-centricity rather than a focus on infrastructure. Understanding where industry is in the terms of technology development, becoming educated regarding their net-centric business plans, and applying best practices in government implementation would truly enhance our force's ability to organize and access the information it needs.
