/24-7PressRelease/ - Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (September 21st, 2005) ~ Family Productions Inc. is gearing up for this fall's Edmonton Woman's Show. The event takes place on October 15th and 16th at Northlands AgriCom in Edmonton, Alberta. More than 12,000 people (mostly women) are expected to check out exhibitors' products, services, foods and entertainment.
The Edmonton Woman's Show is targeted specifically toward women, and features every indulgence a woman could want. From jewelry to cosmetics, from health products to books by Edmonton authors, this year's show promises to be one of the most successful yet. The Show will also feature a Travel Canada Centre, an Anti-Aging Centre, Wedding Centre, fashion shows, cooking shows, tons of exhibits and fabulous prizes to be won. Entertainment will include singers, dancers, and a special appearance by two very popular and well-known reality television stars.
This year's headliners are none other than famed reality lovebirds, Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich, of Survivor (Australian Outback, Marquesas and All-Stars) and The Amazing Race fame. For those of you who aren't aware, Rob got down on one knee and proposed after Amber beat him in the All-Stars season. They were married in May, during a ceremony that was televised by CBS. Affectionately dubbed 'Romber' by the media, the couple is expected to draw in huge crowds.
Last show's headliner, actor Josh Duhamel from the hit TV show Las Vegas, brought in an increased attendance and show producer Louise Reinich states, "It creates excitement and people love to come out and see someone who's lived their dream...made it big. Josh was genuinely surprised to see the crowd." Rob and Amber can expect the same. And what's the public's reaction to the news that two popular reality stars are coming to Edmonton? "Some people love it and some people hate it," says Reinich. "It's controversial. And we love that."
The October show will also see the first Authors' Row, which was organized by Augusta Reinich, assistant producer for the event, and Canadian mystery author, Cheryl Kaye Tardif. This year there is a total of five local area authors, including Tardif, who will be autographing and selling their books. Authors Sue Paulson, Jackson Carter, Joyce Harries and Lorna Nicholson offer a variety of books just in time for the Christmas season. At Tardif's booth, writers' resources and publishing guides will be available for aspiring writers or established authors. As a loyal fan of Survivor and The Amazing Race, Cheryl Kaye Tardif is hoping to get a peek at Rob and Amber through the crowds of fans. Her advice? "Bring binoculars!"
