The Most Chic Aprons Ever at Kir DeVries!

Who says you have to look dowdy while working in the kitchen? Go from House Frau to House Wow! New Tayga aprons at Kir DeVries bring chic to dining and entertainment.

ANNAPOLIS, MD, January 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Entertaining never looked so good, Kir DeVries introduces the most chic, stylish aprons ever! Hand-made in the USA by Tayga, these aprons are reversible for double the fun.

"We are constantly looking for unique items for her, him and home," says Kristen Becker, CEO of Kir DeVries. "I fell in love with these aprons when I saw them and the fact that they are reversible, giving you two looks, is a bonus."

Aprons have made a big comeback in haute couture. No longer the dowdy clothing covers of the June Cleaver generation, today's cook is looking for something that is both functional and fashionable.

"Entertaining and dinner parties are in again. People like gathering with their friends and neighbors in a home, rather than out at a restaurant. It's more intimate," said Becker. "But today's woman wants to look stylish while serving her guests."

Each apron is given a name to match its "personality." Klaudia is lovely and refined. Allison in red or blue signals a second serving might be on its way. Samantha prefers garden parties. Kimberly saves the best for last, could it be dessert? And Marilyn suggests just a hint of sensual mischief.

Kir DeVries is expanding its home and entertainment lines to meet the demand of its customers. Because of its boutique appeal, Kir DeVries seeks to offer products the big box stores will not carry. Becker personally does all the buying for the store and prefers unique products that are made by artisans or women-owned businesses. Kir DeVries also places a premium on environmentally friendly and green products.

"I saw a lot of aprons out there," says Becker, "and while they were cute, they certainly couldn't match what Tayga was making. Another concern of mine was that the aprons not be made in a sweatshop. I like that Tayga is a women-owned business right here in the United States. Each apron is lovingly made and not massed produced, which makes each one a unique work of art."
