Becker personally does all the buying for the store and prefers unique products that are made by artisans or women-owned businesses. Kir DeVries also places a premium on environmentally friendly and green products.

"I saw a lot of aprons out there," says Becker, "and while they were cute, they certainly couldn't match what Tayga was making. Another concern of mine was that the aprons not be made in a sweatshop. I like that Tayga is a women-owned business right here in the United States. Each apron is lovingly made and not massed produced, which makes each one a unique work of art."
