In addition Gold Star paid each tribe an annual payment for the use of their land. Gold Star spent over $250,000 in 2008 to support the farms that it operates in Ghana, West Africa.
Gold Star pays its farm workers above the U.N. 2015 suggested wages for third world countries. In addition Gold Star pays for the workers national health care for them and their families.
Gold Star plants, maintains, and harvests Jatropha, produces biodiesel and energy from organic and other waste materials around the world, but primarily in third world countries.
