JACKSONVILLE, FL, February 05, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "The world is going green, no doubt" announced Tom Hay, Technical Advisor for SprayMax Industrial Coatings. What however is Green enough? When I pull in and get gas I am happy knowing that about 10% of the gas is made from plant life, regrowable energy. This means for every 10 cars with equal size gas tanks filling up, one in equivalent is running on nature grown renewable energy. But what about the other 9?
I see many of my fellow Urethane Foam manufacturers giving themselves a "Green" rating due to the ability to save energy, but is this truly enough to consider yourself green? One of our Spray Insulation Urethane Foams "SoyThane" was also considered a green product as we had a small percentage of the B - Side replacing some Petroleum with regrowable energy. This was better. Like the Gasoline we saved from buying oil from Third World countries and helped support the American Farmer but at SprayMax we considered this minor, knowing we could do more.
Earlier in the year 2009 SprayMax introduced SoyThane90, a Spray Urethane Foam where 90% of the B-Side was made of Soy, a regrowable energy. Where many companies would be celebrating something considered a miracle in chemical technology, this was still not enough for SprayMax. We still had a Positive Carbon Foot Print. SprayMax went to its Chemists and suppliers of raw materials and asked "can we do better?"
Today, we are pleased to announce through advanced chemical technology SoyThane now computes to a Negative Carbon Foot Print. SprayMax not only invites its peers to equal this, it demands them to overcome it.
There is no celebration or party or Corporate Jets being used at SprayMax today. SoyThane 90 only proved there is no "Impossible" and will continue to find more barriers to break to make the world a cleaner, healthier less dependent place to be.
